Hudson Haven Dog Rescue

Hudson Haven Dog Rescue began as a Jersey City, NJ based rescue dedicated to changing the misconceptions surrounding pitbull type dogs and other bully breeds.  From 2014 to 2020, we allocated our efforts to helping local municipal shelters in reducing the number of at-risk dogs by placing them into foster homes.

In August of 2020, we relocated to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, and since then have been working to help reduce the number of stray, abused, and neglected dogs in whatever way we can.  With approximately 500,000 stray dogs inhabiting the island, it is an uphill battle, but thanks to the support of our network in the North East, we know anything is possible. We believe in spay/neuter and preventative education in our  community, and hope to make a difference in the lives of pets and people alike.
